John Harington, 2nd Baron Harington : ウィキペディア英語版 | John Harington, 2nd Baron Harington Sir John Harington (1307–1363) was a British nobleman and inherited the title of 2nd Baron Harington of Aldingham. John Harington was the second son of John Harington, 1st Baron Harington and Margaret de Barlingham, Margaret died in 1307 while giving birth to John in Farleton.〔C.Mosley, (1999) "Burke's Peerage & Baronetage", 106th Edition〕 Sir John Harington was married in September 1352 to Katherine Banastre, daughter of Sir Adam Banastre and his wife Margaret de Holland, of Bank Hall, Lancashire and they had one son Nicholas Harington, (born 1345). John Harington was granted a lease of the manor of Hornby by Henry of Grosmont, 1st Duke of Lancaster and also held the manors of Bolton-le-Moors, Chorley and Aighton. In 1358 he moved to London to take part in services for king Edward III of England. He later died in 1363 and was buried at the Church of Cartmel Fell, Lancashire.〔F. L.
